Research Consent Agreement

Introduction
This Research Consent Agreement ("Agreement") explains how Dental School Guide LLC ("Dental School Guide," "we," "our," or "us") may use the information and materials you voluntarily submit for research, product development, artificial intelligence development, and educational purposes.
By voluntarily submitting application materials, admissions information, or other related content to Dental School Guide and agreeing to this Agreement, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described below.
Purpose
Dental School Guide conducts ongoing admissions research to better understand the factors that influence dental school admissions decisions.
The purpose of this research includes, but is not limited to:
• Identifying admissions trends
• Understanding what individual dental schools value during admissions
• Developing school-specific admissions scoring models and rubrics
• Improving coaching and advising services
• Improving existing Dental School Guide products
• Developing future educational products and services
• Developing and improving artificial intelligence systems and analytical tools
• Identifying application characteristics associated with admissions outcomes
• Helping future applicants make more informed admissions decisions
Information You May Submit
You may voluntarily submit information including, but not limited to:
• ADEA AADSAS applications
• Dental school-specific applications
• Personal statements
• Experience descriptions
• Supplemental and secondary essays
• GPA information
• DAT scores
• School lists
• Interview invitations
• Interview results
• Waitlist decisions
• Acceptance decisions
• Rejection decisions
• Letters of recommendation
• Application updates
• Reapplication materials
• Communications regarding admissions
• Any other documents or information you voluntarily provide to Dental School Guide
Your Consent
By agreeing to this Agreement, you authorize Dental School Guide to use the information you voluntarily submit for research and business purposes, including but not limited to:
• Researching admissions trends
• Comparing applications
• Identifying characteristics associated with admissions success
• Developing school-specific admissions scoring rubrics
• Developing admissions prediction models
• Conducting statistical analyses
• Improving educational resources
• Improving mentoring services
• Developing future products
• Developing, training, testing, validating, and improving artificial intelligence systems
• Improving internal software and technology
• Conducting internal business research related to dental school admissions
Artificial Intelligence
You understand and agree that the information you voluntarily submit may be used in connection with artificial intelligence technologies developed, owned, licensed, or used by Dental School Guide.
This may include, but is not limited to:
• Training AI models
• Testing AI models
• Improving AI performance
• Developing new AI systems
• Building admissions prediction models
• Developing school-specific admissions scoring systems
• Identifying admissions trends and patterns
• Improving automated advising tools
Research Findings
Dental School Guide may use information collected through this research to identify admissions trends and develop educational materials.
Research findings may be incorporated into our products, services, educational resources, software, AI systems, admissions guidance, scoring models, and other internal or customer-facing resources.
Dental School Guide will not use your submitted application materials or personal information for advertising or marketing purposes without obtaining your separate permission.
Withdrawal of Consent
You may request to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Dental School Guide.
Upon receiving your request, Dental School Guide will make reasonable efforts to discontinue using your information in future research and development activities.
However, you acknowledge and agree that:
• Research already completed cannot be reversed.
• Products, models, analyses, AI systems, or research findings previously developed may continue to rely upon information incorporated before your withdrawal request.
• Withdrawal will not require Dental School Guide to recreate previously completed research or remove information from completed analyses where doing so is not reasonably possible.
No Compensation
You understand and agree that you will not receive financial compensation, royalties, ownership rights, licensing fees, or any other payment in exchange for permitting Dental School Guide to use your submitted information under this Agreement.
Ownership
You retain ownership of the original application materials and documents you submit.
However, by voluntarily submitting materials covered by this Agreement, you grant Dental School Guide LLC a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, analyze, process, reproduce, store, modify, and create derivative works from the submitted information solely for the purposes described in this Agreement.
This license survives the termination of your account except to the extent described in the Withdrawal of Consent section.
No Sale of Personal Information
Dental School Guide does not sell the personal information you submit under this Agreement.
Changes to This Agreement
Dental School Guide may update this Agreement from time to time.
The most current version will always be posted on this page.
If material changes are made, they will apply only after you have been given an opportunity to review and agree to the updated Agreement when required by applicable law.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Acceptance
By checking the consent box provided during the submission of your application materials or related information, you acknowledge that:
• You have read this Research Consent Agreement.
• You understand how Dental School Guide may use the information you voluntarily submit.
• You voluntarily consent to the collection and use of your submitted information for the purposes described in this Agreement.
